5/19/2008: Countdown has begun!

The excitement is building with only 10 days remaining until the start of Mountain Hounds 2008. Last minute updates have been made to the activities, vendor directory, and merchandise pages. Additionally, Mountain Hounds welcomes several new sponsors!

1/5/2008: Online registration fixed!

Sorry to those who tried to register with the online registration form between 1/4 and 1/5. The problem has now been resolved.

8/21/2007: Mountain Hounds 2007 report

Mountain Hounds 2007 was a Greyt success! Thank you to the volunteers who all worked so hard to make this event happen. Thank you to our sponsors for their donations. And a huge Thank You to the Greyhounds and owners who came to spend the weekend in Gatlinburg. This was our third annual event and you all have become like family to us. For 2007 we had over 200 people and 240 greyhounds. Pictures from the event have been added. Mountain Hounds 2008 is scheduled for May 29 through June 1, 2008. Mark your calendars now! We will begin taking registrations on January 2, 2008. An email will be mailed to all alumni reminding them that registration has opened. And for 2008 we have a new sponsor hotel! The Sidney James Mountain Lodge has been family owned and operated for three generations. They are not normally a dog friendly hotel but as we all know……………….Greyhounds are not dogs. Seriously, they are looking forward to hosting our event and getting to see the Greyhounds up close and personal. The Sidney James (610 Historic Nature Trail) is located right beside Mynatt Park, which is convenient for all of our activities.
